A FONTE | 2022

Assistimos, diariamente, à escassez e incorreta exploração de recursos que são essenciais à sobrevivência das diferentes espécies que habitam o planeta terra. A necessidade de produzir riqueza e promover o crescimento económico sobrepõe-se aos cuidados com a sustentabilidade dos recursos naturais, promovendo a poluição de rios e oceanos, a exploração intensiva das florestas, a emissão de gases de efeito estufa que contaminam a qualidade do ar, e a utilização de fontes de energia que agridem o planeta de forma irreversível.
É urgente alterar padrões de comportamento individuais e coletivos, e tornar público o debate sobre todas as questões que este problema engloba.
Este projeto apresenta uma reflexão sobre a exploração dos 4 elementos, ar, água, terra e fogo, recursos base da vida no nosso planeta, representados enquanto fonte inesgotável de matéria.

THE FOUNTAIN | 2022

We witness the scarcity and incorrect exploitation of resources that are essential for the survival of the different species that inhabit planet earth. The need to produce wealth and promote economic growth takes precedence over care for the sustainability of natural resources, promoting pollution of rivers and oceans, intensive exploitation of forests, the emission of greenhouse gases that contaminate air quality, and the use of energy sources that harm the planet irreversibly.
It is urgent to change individual and collective behavior patterns, and to make public the debate on all the issues that this problem encompasses.
This project presents a reflection on the exploration of the 4 elements, air, water, earth and fire, basic resources of life on our planet, represented as an inexhaustible raw material fountain.
